A cloud drew a dark sky, on a bright moonlit night

The moon hid like a kid, at least for a while..

Leaped into the sea, glowed like a lamp..

Flew to the the sky, swam like a swan..

Fell into eyes, few stared, few scanned.

She swam across all generations........

left "generation gap", just a phrase..

She has seen my greatest grand dad,

Still serves as my midnight lamp........

The one whom poets loved and praised...

Behind her, men lived and died in chase..

The only one, every night dreamt and craved..

Tieing time to a No-where, till day she hasn't aged..

Time Lost in the race? or he just forgot to get her, caged??

Today at the beach, we spent a late evening...

Once out of the car, I casually looked at the sky,

And... instantly I felt, I was in love with the moon !

So left my heart and sweetheart to swim alone,

And I had an evening, lying on the silky sand,

watching The Two.. and The Pretty Moon..

Leaving the wounds to time, healing was time's art..

Yet, carelessly.. I threw them all, till none I had..

Waves fussed about the suicidal murderer, I thought..

Are the waves fussing or demanding more? I re-thought..

"A fool made the water richer", Did they say pointing at me?

Why today the water looked like the starry night laughing at me?

I thought I had pebbles in my hands and thats what I threw..

That I was throwing all my precious pearls, only the water knew.....

When the simple truth about people is that..

some are wrong, some highly headstrong..

some pathetic, some unsympathetic..

some just don't jel, some simply cruel..

some severly arrogant, some terribly adamant..

some miserably selfish, some utterly foolish..
some make NO difference at all..

some unbearably indifferent to all..
some stupid, idotic, moronic, I can go on and on..

But before putting all those labels on all of them..

Understand them, by trying to love them..

some prove that we totally misunderstood them...

some might be more than what we thought of them..!!

so much more that instead of simply calling them BAD..

We might be able to EASILY call them "VERY VERY BAD" !! :)

Unexpected.. - A real Life incident..

It was just another day with my tiger..

He was off to the woods to return in a while..

So, I entered my kitchen, with a smile..

I cleaned, I swabbed and to hang the cloth,

I opened the door and stepped out,

And there I saw him.. my neighbour..

Stealthily watching me over the wall..!

My first reflex was a smile, So casually I smiled..

He didn't smile, he stared.. and stared.. for a while...

God! those eyes! dangerously attractive! I was scared!..

Yet at those sharp magnetic eyes.. unashamed I stared..

His eyes.. hypnotized me, and to the world, I went blind..

I longed to sing a song for him, which his stare did remind..

Singing in my lingo won't be apt as he, was a foreigner..

And my voice was silenced by the cold blooded Winter..

So I whistled that song on love, slowly.. He listened, keenly..

I whistled it again.. and I heard him hum..

Our souls rhymed.. trying to become one...

Music and love.. both are magical..

They speak the language of the soul..

Intensifies emotions many folds...

Is mesmerizing.. when tastes gel..

That even tough hearts.. just melt..

Its power was acting on me and him..

The urge to touch him and feel him..

Was growing faster and stronger... in me..

He might cross all barriers to embrace me!!

Brain warned, but heart refused to stop me,

As time tapped those sweet moments into me..

Guess he was cautious of what we might get into..

He was at the verge of a point of no return, he knew..

So unwillingly.. reluctantly... he walked away..

Thinking he might come again.. I waited, but in vain..

Then suddenly I got inside closing the door, wondering..

Why on earth was I wasting my time on a Cat!!

While I had a Tiger waiting for me to be back!!!

I attracted people... no matter how old...

Those who met me felt they never grew old..

To meet him today in the silent beach I reached..

but I saw him drowning and to help him, men leaped..

I too went near him, seeing me, he was surprised..

Passionately i kissed him, pale n tired were his eyes..

I smiled, he stared, as my kiss took away his breath..

hmm... i'd pick the oldest jeans and dullest top to give him the impression that i dont have anything to wear. :) so that he will do the mistake of taking me to a shop with the good intention of buying "some" good clothes! :)

i prefer coffee.. but tea is also fine.

28. What do you do when you are feeling low or terribly depressed?
listen to some fav songs.. talk to diya.. play with her in the rain.. sit in the garden, take the bible and read, sleep, make some good food and eat.. go for dinner outside.. go to the beach.. read some good funny stuff or.. watch some nice movies..

there are many.. most of them are like my close friends now and so reading them is like talking to them ..

I decided, I won't demand anything from you..
you aren't my world and I'm going to forget you..
I confirmed to myself that I've forgotten it all..
though at times I forget that I had forgotten it all..
after all, what I miss without you is nothing at all..
I just miss a small curve, and "smile" it is called..
Impossible is nothing and it isn't so tough to smile.. !
so I wore my favourite lipstick to make my lips smile..
and with the red lipstick I started to make up my mind..
yes! I've forgotten everything and everything... I lied..
whenever my eyes rained, you were my reason to smile..
I still have my red lips, they say that you were my smile..

Dear all..

I am back to doha.. after a loooooong vacation.. am happy to be back!

Thanks to all of you who have kept my mail box alive with so much of love and concern.. it was really touching.. its such a nice feeling to know that u have a small group of friends who really care.. hugs to all of you.. sorry that i couldnt be in touch while i was away... will be replying the mails as soon as i get some free time..

We had planned our vacation so well but nothing worked as per our plans. we were supposed to shift to a new house but it got delayed due to some reason but everything ended well.. we were ready to come back and his dad fell sick and had to be admitted to the hospital every time we packed our bags.. since 3 yrs he is suffering from Parkinsons.. and now is showing signs of alzheimer's. Diya lost more than a months class.. but nothing is more important than a few memorable days with loved ones.. who knows next time we meet him he would remember us or not.. by gods grace we could leave seeing him smiling and not crying.. he is a gem of a person.. and a great dad..

so that was a quick synopsis of my vacation.. a vacation which was the busiest i ever had... and also the vacation where i could spend a lot of quality time with my FIL who spoke nothing at all to any but a few words to me.. and me alone.. i feel really lucky to be able to make him talk.. and just for his sake i feel i want to be back to india.. this time he is the one whom i miss...

i had a quick look at a few posts and am so eager to read them alll.... shall be back commenting..

I will be on vacation for the next 2 months.. so wont be able to keep in touch.. but i shall try..

Kp : You and ur words are truly missed.. thanks for being in touch.. ur wishes and words are always special.. thanks a bunch.. too many stories to be read.. eager to read them all... will do it once i am free again.. for u are one writer whose imagination touches all aspects of life.. and narrates it so nicely! the characters come alive with ur narration... and we can even visualise their mannerisms.. ! will be in touch whenever i can..

Anu : You !! :) as ur blog says.. sincerely yours! .. a very sincere blog with everything seen there has a touch of sincerity.. hey the trick to attract birds is.. first decide on a special way of whisting.. i mean a speacial tune.. so that birds can identify that its u calling them.. then take some grains and whistle it and gently throw it to them when u see few birds.. they will associate food and the tune.. do it for a few times and they will come to u whenever u whistle.. dont forget to feed them each time they come!!.. they are so adorable sweet creatures.. happy whisting dear and have fun! :)

There lived a pretty leaf, on a huge green happy tree..

Where came a naughty west wind, whenever he was free..

Everytime he whistled, the leaf felt love in the air...

He made her feel lighter, and she loved his tender care..

Seeing them together, the birds chirped about the affair..

They had thier tiny nests there, which an angry wind could tear..

So scared of the wild west wind, to sing this aloud they didnt dare!

They'd seen him having affiars, with all of the pretty leaves there,

They warned her that he was flirty, so the leaf better be aware..

The leaf nodded silently, but to their word she turned a deaf ear..

He was cool and mind blowing, that she danced to all his tunes.

He brought her flowery perfumes and at times few drops of dew..

He always kissed and hugged her tight, whenever he passed by..

She knew the wind was flirty, yet without him she dint feel alive..

He seemed bold and brave, though at times, he was wild..

Though rude to few others, to her he was always mild..

His touch blew her body, his charm captured her mind..

The leaf fell in love with him, oh! dont we know?, love is blind!

The love she had for him was true, and true love never dies..

The leaf died to go with him, and to go with him she "died"..

He carried her to gardens and to peaks of mountains high..

When at times he left her alone, like a dead leaf she would lie...

Just a single kiss from him, could bring her back to life..

Dead, yet she is alive with him, without wings she could fly..

True love is magical, and for love one is ready to die..

Love is the only magic, which can turn even death alive!!..

As I proceeded to bed, as always this is what I said..

God, I offer you my kids and grandkids..

May they bloom into beautiful flowers..

May the rainbow be ashamed of their colors...

How I wish to see them together,

This pain is the same for every mother!

Though their thoughts made me weep,

Feeling weak I slowly drifted into sleep..

I woke up fresh as my sleep was deep..

And as I got up I saw my grandson peep!

God so you did hear my prayers!

Here I see my dear ones near!

What made them give me a good sunrise?

Or is this a planned Christmas surprise?

Its neither Chirstmas nor its my birthday,

All are here, even those who were away..

Lost in thought I even forgot to say,

"How are u darlings, what made u come today"?

I hurriedly walked into the living room,

Somehow the room was filled with gloom.

My sons were seen beside each other,

Since years they hadn’t faced eachother..

Thanking God, I walked towards them;

Seeing them talk, I wished to hear them..

Together they held something like a coffin,

I didn’t have the strength to see who is in..

As they kept it, I felt them scream!

God I wish this is just a bad dream.

"Open this", I yelled, "let me also see"

To my surprise, the one in the box was none but " me"!

Can anyone tell me what's going on here?

Why is that anybody's voice I cannot hear?!!

I stood there helpless for a moment

And that’s when I heard this comment..

"Don’t be scared, for you aren't deaf,

The fact is that, now you are dead"!

This voice to me, did not sound new..

And the one who said this, was someone I knew.

Before my eyes went in search of him,

I saw him standing beside me with a grin..

He was dressed in the purest and brightest of white,

Just like he was, on our wedding night,

Seeing him, I felt he could be right,

As years ago he too left me one December night!

Should I smile at him or cry?

Should I say Hi to him or bid them Good Bye?

For, I was a wife only to him,

But was a mother to all of them..

Seeing me sad he said "Dont feel bad"

"To this earthly world you are dead and gone"

"but to the world of the dead, you are a new born!"

There you can meet your dad and mom,

Your kids will join you in the years to come,

when I died I too longed to stay for long.

After the funeral there will be no mourn,

After a while your children will miss you no more..

You might see things that can hurt you more..

Your kids, by showing thier true colour,

Will kill you once, twice or even more...

Its colourful with those 7 pretty colours till the witch invades ..

And the seven year itch arrives and forces the colours to fade..

But when the bright sun and the wet rain falls in love again..

The sun colours, the rain bows, and the rainbow is back again!

When the black curtains from the blue sky falls,

And the stars gather to compensate the sun's fall..

I wait for my knight, like a newly wedded bride..

Today, behind the clouds, I dont want to hide..

I am the moon gazing into my mirror of still water

Today I look so pretty, none can look any better..!

You who helped me to see myself, to see what I am..

Who exactly are you?, a little confused I am..!!

Are you not the wind who always wants to blow,

But is patient, to keep the naughty water calm..?

Or are you not the water who always wants to flow,

But staying still, to hold my reflection in its palm?

Are u the night? Who, just to give me company, stays awake?

Or are u the Sun who killed himself in the sea just for my sake?

So that I can see my light.. just my light, and hold my head high..

And believe that when the Sun is dead, only I can light up the sky!

Are u the reflection in the water, which I thought, was mine?

Or am I your reflection, that's seen high in the jet black sky?

Whoever u are, I know u are from the God Divine...

The Sun and a Star..

There was the sun and there was a star,

They met in space though galaxies apart.

They talked a lot not knowing how time passed by,

“Sky is the limit” said the sun, every time they said bye.

The sun taught her that he was also a star,

They wanted to be friends who’d never part.

The sun said "I don’t want to rise but be with you all night,

during the day I fail to see you due to my bright light".

"In the sky many stars there are", replied the star..

"But there is only one sun and that one you are!!"

"Being seen only at night will make you a star,

I lay silently, gazing at the naked but pretty sky...

She was shameless, even with moonlight hung high..

Tearing her red gown she broke her marrriage vows..

Guilty she was and she stood with her head bowed..

Starry diamonds were gifted, by her lover, the night..

Adorned with them stood the sky, waiting to hug him tight..

she spent hours in love and became one with the night..

Why when in love, even wrongs seem to be right??

When day broke the doors open, the night hurriedly flew..

The sky hid those diamonds.. and left the day no clue..

She wrapped herself quickly, with cloudy blankets a few..

but day knew that something.. had turned his clear sky.. blue!!

"Why dont u run away with the mighty night?" angrily asked I..

Night can make half the world sleep, but the other half isnt blind..

Nothing's hidden forever, one dawn'll break your peace of mind..

Trying not to cheat the day, is another way of being kind..

I loved the day with all my might.. the sky gloomily replied..

Instead from sea I wanted to bring you the brightest of pearls..

But before my pearls reached, the diamonds adorned ur curls..

I learnt if love isn't expressed on time, it can turn life absurd..

If the sky is a coin, then her faces are the day and the night..

Even kids point high and say its heaven up in the sky..

I lay silently, as I looked at the pretty and divine sky..

If falling in love is sin, then why is love said to be divine?

No wonder even being wife of two, the sky is still looked up high!
